The LETWELL Programme: Course 1 - Professional practice for letting agents.

The LETWELL programme, consisting of five dedicated training courses to assist completion of five units of learning and five written assessments, provides those working in letting agencies or Housing Associations dealing with Mid-Market Rentals, the opportunity to obtain an specialist private rented sector accredited qualification. 

Professional practice for letting agents is the first of the five courses in the programme.

As a letting professional, gaining a qualification is a great way to ensure you are able to perform your role to a high standard, provide an excellent service for landlords, and develop your knowledge of key legislation and best practice.

High quality training programmes and qualifications not only benefit individual development, but add value to lettings businesses and can reduce business risks in respect to regulation and compliance. Demonstrating staff have high quality learning can enhance your reputation with customers looking for high quality service.

Course Title: Professional practice for letting agents – This course is delivered over three 90minute virtual sessions:

  • Session 1: Tuesday 30th January 2024 – 2.30pm
  • Session 2: Wednesday 31st January 2024 – 2.30pm
  • Session 3: Thursday 1st February 2024 – 2.30pm

By booking onto Session 1 you will automatically be enrolled onto Sessions 2 & 3. To complete the course, attendance at all three sessions is required.

Having attended all sessions you will have an understanding of:

  • Terms of business
  • Legislation which impacts on the relationship between agent, landlord and tenant
  • Codes of practice and ethics that impact on the relationship between agent, landlord and tenant
  • Selling agency services
  • Key concepts in business development for letting agents
  • The concept of ‘reflective practice’ for letting professionals

Places on LETWELL are limited to ensure a high quality learning experience. Please be advised that a maximum of three delegate places can be booked per organisation.

Pricing

You can pay for your training by credit/debit card (online or over the phone) or by bank transfer.

Payment by credit/debit card allows you to secure your registration immediately. If you are confirming your order online, you will be taken to a secure page where you can enter card details. If you wish to pay over the phone, please contact the LAS office on 0131 553 2211 and have your Order Reference number available.

Alternatively, you can opt to pay by Bank Transfer through your internet banking service. Please use the following information:

How our pricing works

LAS are pleased to offer you two different payment options:

  • Option 1: Pay for all 5 courses in advance and receive a 10% discount
  • Option 2: Pay as you go: Pay for course 1 upfront, pay for courses 2 & 3 combined as a single payment on booking course 2, pay for courses 4 & 5 combined as a single payment on booking course 4.

Fees for attending the training courses are payable to Landlord Accreditation Scotland directly.

Please be advised that registering for the qualification incurs an additional fee of £600 per person charged by the CIH Housing Academy who will invoice you separately. The cost of the qualification is payable directly to the CIH Housing Academy, and is in addition to fees paid to Landlord Accreditation Scotland to attend the five training courses.

All training and qualification fees are payable in advance.
