“Lettings In Practice” programme when abbreviated reads LIP.
“Leaders in Lettings” programme when abbreviated reads LIL.
Section B: General Terms
Everyone accessing training is expected to behave in a polite and appropriate manner following the etiquette guide delivered at the beginning of each session. Trainers have the power to exclude any person from the training that is disruptive or offensive.
For LACP, LIP and LIL webinars that are delivered via a virtual classroom, this is a learning environment where participants can interact, communicate, view and discuss material, while working in groups, via an online platform. Delegates will need to have access to the Zoom platform which is available free of charge and should be downloaded in advance of the training sessions. LAS has a professional duty to ensure delegates are present for the duration of the training sessions before awarding CPD hours. Delegates will need to be visible to the tutor and therefore have access to a camera which needs to be switched on for the duration of the training session.
It is the responsibility of the delegate to have the technology required to access the training sessions.
Section C: Prices
The price for attending training modules/webinars is set out on the LAS website.
All training module/webinar prices include VAT charged at the current UK VAT rate of 20%.
All training module/webinar prices must be paid in full at the time of booking.
Section D: Registration Confirmation
Each delegate will receive a registration confirmation via email once full payment has been received and processed by LAS.
LAS will not be liable for any expenses incurred ahead of receiving the registration confirmation (such as travel, accommodation, staff cover, personal expenses).
Section E: Changes / Cancellations to Webinars
LAS reserves the right to change trainer without
prior notice.
LAS reserves the right to change/cancel the date of
a training module/webinar at short notice where circumstances beyond our
control dictate. If the rescheduled date is not suitable, any fees
paid will be held in credit or refunded where requested. LAS will not be liable
for any costs incurred as a result of the cancellation (such as travel, accommodation, staff cover,
personal expenses).
LAS will not be liable for reimbursing fees if the training
module/webinar is cancelled due to circumstances beyond LAS’s reasonable
control including, but not limited to, weather conditions, fire, flood,
transport strikes, closures or delays, Government edict or regulation, or any
other force majeure or act of God.
Section F: Delegate Amendments & Cancellations
Delegates have the right to withdraw from LACP or LIP training modules, LIL or CPD webinars at any time.
If the delegate can no longer attend a training module/webinar, or wishes to cancel their registration, the following conditions apply.
For training module/webinar transfers:
If the delegate wishes to transfer to an alternative session, this will only be permitted once free of charge. Any subsequent requests to transfer will incur an administration fee.
If the delegate is unable to attend the alternative date, this will be treated as a webinar cancellation.
For training module/webinar cancellations:
If a cancellation is made no later than 5 working days prior to the training module/webinar date, a refund will be offered, minus an administration fee.
Cancellations made less than 5 working days prior to the training module/webinar date will not be eligible for a refund.
Substitution of a delegate is permitted once free of charge. However, if the new delegate does not have a qualifying Accreditation status or SAL membership, the increase in cost will need to be paid at the time of substitution.
No refund will be given if the second session of a two-part training module is not attended.
Section G: Webinar Attendance & CPD Certification
For LACP, LIP and LIL training sessions delivered virtually, the webinar facilitator will confirm a delegate is present and therefore delegates need to be visible via camera or have made LAS aware in advance of why this is not possible.
Delegates need to be present for the full duration of each individual training module/webinar to be awarded a certificate of formal CPD.
For training modules with multiple sessions, delegate attendance will be recorded for each individual session. Delegates will be awarded CPD for the duration of the individual sessions they attend.
Accredited Letting Agents[1] will be sent a certificate of formal CPD hours. This will be sent by email up to 5 working days following the training module/webinar date.
Non-Accredited Letting Agents attending LACP/LIP/LIL/CPD training modules/webinars will be sent a certificate of formal CPD hours for the attended session. This will be sent by email up to 5 working days following the training module/webinar date.
Non-Accredited Letting Agents can request a summary record of all training undertaken with Landlord Accreditation Scotland if formally requested and subject to payment of the applicable fee.
[1] Includes Accredited Social Landlords and Accredited Housing Associations
Section H: Training Materials
Training materials (where applicable) will be made
available to delegates at least one day ahead of the date of the first training
module/webinar session.

link for download. The link will be valid and available for download up to
& including 28 days from the webinar date. Slides will expire 28 days from the training
module/webinar date.
