Portable Appliance Testing Training
Landlord Accreditation Scotland (LAS) is working in partnership with TTS Training Services to support landlords and letting agents access face-to-face Portable Appliance Testing training in Scotland.
To comply with the Repairing Standard, all landlords need to have fixed wiring (Electrical Installation Condition Report or EICR) checks carried out at least every five years, which must include “in-service inspection and testing of electrical equipment” (also known as a Portable Appliance Test or PAT).
Attending the Portable Appliance Testing course will give landlords the required knowledge to carry out their own PAT testing and, depending on the number of properties/appliances they have, this could mean an opportunity to make considerable cost savings.
On successful completion, you will receive a Certificate of Competence that is accredited by UKRS.
How is the training delivered?

TTS Training Services offer 1-day face-to-face PAT courses in Edinburgh and Glasgow, with numerous training dates available in each location.
You will receive thorough knowledge and practical instruction on how to complete PAT testing safely and effectively, fully participating through interactive exercises. The trainer will be on hand to help and answer any questions.
No electrical knowledge or experience is required.
On successful completion, you will receive a Certificate of Competence that is accredited by UKRS. All delegates will keep a comprehensive handbook and TTS will continue to offer free after-course support through their learning zone.
High-quality PAT testing instruments will be available to borrow for free on the day or you can contact TTS Training Services in advance to purchase your own PAT testing machine at a discounted rate. If you already have your own machine, bring it along!
