Our training for letting agents

Our webinars and courses are recognised as formal CPD by the Scottish Government and with a full webinar programme in place, letting agents can plan how to fully integrate training for staff as part of the day to day business. 1. Step One

Lettings In Practice

Working in the Private Rented Sector is a busy and interesting career which requires a wide range of skills from excellent customer service to understanding the basics of building maintenance. The lettings in practice programme is designed to help you in developing these key skills in preparation for a career in lettings.

2. Step Two

LETWELL Programme

In order to operate as a Letting Agent in Scotland, you are required to first complete a relevant qualification. The LETWELL programme of training provides a qualification which is respected industry wide. If you or a member of your team is ready to take the next step in their lettings career, the LETWELL programme is a natural choice. 3. Step Three

The Letting Agent Compliance Programme

Once you have your qualified, you are required to complete 20 hours of continued professional development (CPD) every three years, 15 of those being formal learning. Whilst this might sound daunting, LAS have made it simple. Completing the Letting Agent Compliance Programme, acquiring meaningful CPD which applies to your actual job, provides you with all 15 hours you need. The 7 modules that make up LACP are designed in line with the letting agent code of practice, and are recognised as formal CPD, allowing your qualification and training to be submitted when your agency renews their letting agent registration.

4. Step Four

The Leaders in Letting Programme

The programme comprises a mixture of 30 and 60 minute sessions which provide a total of 5 hours of formal CPD if all sessions are attended. It recognises that agency owners and managers are often short of time and do not necessarily need to review topics that are day-to-day practice matters within the agency. The topics in this CPD programme provide an opportunity for senior management to review working practice within their agencies.
