Personal safety and lone working awareness session

LAS is collaborating with the Suzy Lamplugh Trust to bring letting agents a 90-minute awareness session on what should be a priority for all agents and housing providers.
As part of the work letting agents and housing organisations do, staff will be out of the office, viewing and inspecting properties, meeting with landlords and tenants, and being aware of their safety is essential. The sessions run by the Suzy Lamplugh Trust are an excellent way to focus on this topic.
Suzy Lamplugh Trust talks are highly interactive and are a good way of getting staff to start thinking about the importance of their own personal safety both in and outside of work.
Topics will include:
- Lone working - the law and the responsibilities of the employer and staff
- Risk assessment - identifying and mitigating risks related to all aspects of work
- Home visits - best practice for staying safe while conducting a home visit
- Travelling safely - tips while travelling for work
- Using personal alarms - their purpose, how to use them and recommended alarms
- Reporting incidents - procedures to be followed by staff and employers
