Landlord Accreditation Scotland has created a programme of training which looks at the standards of the Letting Agent Code of Practice in depth. The programme is designed to assist agents in putting strong compliance measures in place and ensuring a strong knowledge base in agency teams.
The modules within the programme, which are delivered virtually, are recommended as meaningful CPD and assist qualified agents in attaining required training hours.
This module, delivered over two sessions, looks in depth at Section 8 of the Code, handling landlords’ and tenants’ money, and insurance arrangements. It will support agents with producing processes and procedures and will cover:
- Client accounts
- Debt recovery
- Professional Indemnity
- Insurance
Having attended both sessions you will have a sound understanding of:
- The agent/tenant and landlord financial relationship
- Full compliance with managing client money

A virtual classroom is a learning environment where participants can interact, communicate, view and discuss material, while working in groups, via an online platform. LAS use Zoom.
