LAS Core Standard Courses, Best Practice Courses and CPD courses

We acknowledge that sometimes there is a need to cancel your enrolment from a course/training workshop. If you cannot attend, or no longer require a place, please refer to our cancellation requirements below. Failure to provide enough notice will result in you being charged the full course/training workshop fee*.

Occasionally it is necessary for courses to be cancelled or rescheduled by LAS. The Training & Events Team will send an email to advise you of the cancellation and, if possible, provide a new date for the course. We will endeavour to give at least 5 working days’ notice prior to the course start date.

Cancellation

For LAS Core Standard courses, Best Practice courses and CPD courses, if the cancellation is made no later than 10 working days** of the course date, a full refund will be offered. Cancellations made less than 10 working days prior to the course date will not be eligible for a refund or a course transfer.

For Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) courses the cost of the delegate place is non-refundable. LAS can offer the course place for re-sale if notification of the cancellation is made prior to 10 working days** of the course date. In the case of the course place being re-sold, a refund will be made within 28 working days of the course date.

Substitution of a delegate

Substitution of a delegate is permitted free of charge if LAS is suitably notified of the name change one working day before the course. (If the person being substituted does not have a qualifying Accreditation status or SAL/ CLA membership, the increase in course cost will need to be paid at the time of substitution).

Transferring to another course

A transfer to an alternative course is permitted if the delegate notifies LAS 10 working days** prior to the course date. There will be no charge for this transfer. However, if the delegate is not able to make the alternative date and notifies LAS 10 working days** before the course date, LAS will arrange a refund minus an administrative fee of £24 (including VAT). A course fee can only be transferred once for no charge. If a transfer is requested less than 10 working days** prior to the course date, the cancellation policy stated above will apply.

Non-attendance at a course

If a delegate does not attend a course, no refund or transfer will be offered.

In-house/bespoke training courses and/or External Training Events involving a LAS speaker

If company delegates cannot attend or no longer require a course, please provide notice of cancellation, in writing. The following charges will apply:

  • 3 – 6 months prior to the course/event date – 35% of charges apply
  • Within 3 months from the course/event date – 50 % of charges apply
  • Within 1 month of the course/event date – 100% of charges apply

Failure to provide notice will result in your company being charged the full course/event fee and any associated costs.
