Lone working
Every letting agent is responsible for ensuring that the risks associated with lone working are assessed.
Lone working is commonplace for many of those working in lettings. There is a requirement to meet landlords, tenants and tradespeople alone and away from the office. Employees regularly carry out valuations, routine and end of the tenancy visits as well at attending emergency repairs situations on their own. While lone working is usually safe, it brings with it additional risk as any danger is faced alone.
LAS have created this session referring to the best advice available from organisations such as the Suzy Lamplugh Trust.
